Direction: i was on my way back to the U.K. from having lived in Australia for nearly thirty years when France called me. Then to Chailland Then to Number Four. br / br / yes it was like that. the house called me. br / br / br / br / I was born into an hotelier family then in 2010 assisted my sister and her husband turn their beautiful home into a very successful bed and breakfast with a five star rating within the first year. I enjoyed it so much so that I now have my own place here in Chailland. br / br / It is only one of the nine Petite village de Character in France. br / br / This former family home loves welcoming people and brings back its elegance from a former era yet has been modernised with modern conveniences. br / br / The village itself hosts numerous musical and artistic activities during the summer months. Chailland is on a national walking trial and the beautifully kept church gardens leading out of village are one of my favourite pastimes. To climb up and see the village nestled in the valley with the tress all around and the river running through. br / br / My favourite place to visit is St. Michael s mount being just over an hours drive get up early to attend mass at the chapel is an unforgettable experience. Then home to a crepe!
