Direction: The motivation for creating our pub and restaurant was simple we felt there was nowhere in the area offering what we wanted in a place to eat and drink. br / br / Somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere where you could feel equally comfortable in a pair of jeans or a suit and tie. br / br / br / br / Somewhere that served a good pint as well as unusual wines by the glass where you could sit at the bar and enjoy a drink with your friends. br / br / br / br / We are very proud to have been listed in the 2015 Michelin Guide one of only two restaurants in the Carlisle area. br / br / br / br / We are very proud to have received an AA rosette for our restaurant and 4 stars for our accommodation! br / br / br / br / We re inspired to offer not only good food but something a little unusual something a bit exceptional. Food that has been prepared with care and presented with professional flair and imagination. And although the food is important it s only part of the package we want our guests to enjoy the whole experience to be made to feel special. br / br / br / br / It seems we weren t the only ones looking for this kind of eating experience. Since opening the doors of our refurbished inn and restaurant it has gone from strength to strength.
