Which is at the start and finish of many great walks on the Dingle Way. br / br / br / br / O Connor s Guesthouse is located on the main street of Cloghane Village and is also on the Dingle Way walking trail. Nestled at the foot of Mount Brandon the house looks out across Brandon Bay and on towards Beenoskee Mountain. O Connor s Pub serves meals throughout the day and has previously won the AA Super Supper Award in 2006. Evening entertainment at the bar frequently includes ballad singing and some traditional Irish music. br / br / br / br / The guest house is Failte Ireland approved. All bedrooms have direct-dial phones and are ensuite. Three bedrooms have baths and the remaining rooms have showers. br / br / br / br / There are many walks in the area for those who like the high mountain passes or those who like the more easy going tracks. We are situated on the well known DINGLE WAY trail. It is also on The Wild Atlantic Way driving route br / br / br / br / Brandon area ranging from short strolls to what is arguably the finest climb in the country the ascent of Mount Brandon whose ancient pagan name was Slieve Dagda. br / br / The ruins of an ancient oratory built by St. Brendan the Navigator are also located on the summit of this mountain. There are walks to suit all levels of fitness we can arrange to have you dropped off and picked up at suitable locations at times to suit you. br / br / br / br / On 4th December 2016 O Connor s Bar & Guesthouse were presented with a Kerry Hospitality Award by the Kerry branch of The Irish Hotel Federation awarded to accommodation businesses that have given more than 50 years continuous service to the Hospitality Industry. O Connor s has been in business for over 150 years and is now being run by the 4th Generation of the original family.
